Before consulting with the owner, Mike, I decided to make a sticker design that I would be able to come to him with, in the hopes this would help visualize my direction for the possible project.
After meeting with Mike he was on board and said that he would like to see a sticker that replicated the Allman Brothers Band mushroom logo. He also required the store's phone number and address, so that it would be a good use of marketing for his store.
Upon completing the Mushroom logo he felt that the text was too hard to read and that putting it inside the mushroom may not work. I suggest a much simpler approach to cut down on costs and to keep everything legible. This would mean going to a more basic layout and only using one color and white. The man in the middle of the sticker is actually a caricature of Mike. Upon completion of the final design, Yesterdaze Records printed stickers and t-shirts to sell and give out as marketing merchandise.
